Graphics Programmer

Responsibilities

The graphics programmer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the graphics systems for Insydious.  The graphics programmer will work closely with other programmers to ensure a robust system that provides for incredible gameplay and player experience.  The graphics programmer will manage both the systems at the engine level as well as at the gameplay level.

  • Passion for making and playing video games
  • Sharp analytical and problem solving skills
  • Mastery of core programming and scripting languages, and programming best practices
  • Excellent understanding of implementing and programming game engines
  • High level understanding of latest game engines
  • Solid understanding of vertex and pixel shaders
  • Solid understanding of OpenGL, Direct3D, and/or other latest 3D graphics APIs
  • Ability to integrate animated models into games


Preferred Skills

  • Thorough ability to implement advanced graphics abilities including z-buffering, anti-aliasing, soft shadows, alpha blending, mipmapping, atmospheric effects, and perspective-correct texture mapping
