Level Designer
Responsibilities
The level designer will define and implement the levels of the game. The level designer is responsible for the creation of the level concepts, prototypes, scenario creation, event scripting, balance, and flow of gameplay in the levels. The level designer will place entities and triggers in the levels, rough out the pathing and geometry for the world, and assist the other designers in the game mechanics and gameplay.
Needed Skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Strong ability to motivate and work in teams
- Passion for making and playing video games
- Ability to document and communicate design efficiently
- Comprehensive understanding of Maya, engine tools and processes, and 3D world building software
- Fundamental understanding game design
- Ability to implement 3D environment, buildings, entities, rough cameras, and use of design system tools
