Texture Artist
Responsibilities
The texture artist is responsible for the development of the digital textures for the game. The texture artists will work closely with the modelers to provide quality 2D art that will be overlaid upon the polygonal meshes to high quality realistic models.
Needed Skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Strong ability to motivate and work in teams
- Passion for making and playing video games
- Strong traditional fine art skills, training and production experience (illustration, painting, human anatomy, organic forms, color theory, perspective, 2D & 3D design)
- Proficient in the use of Photoshop/Painter as well as traditional painting/rendering techniques
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with video game product development including, but not limited to workflow, tools, limits of technology, matte painting, color keys, character turnarounds, story board, marketing material, graphic design, HUD/UI design experience desirable
- Understanding of the fundamentals of 3D packages a plus
